Purchase Information
Some original art is still available for purchase; however, some works have been sold. Some works are available as a giclée (pronounced "ghee-clay"). A giclée is a very accurate digital reproduction of the original. Giclées can be purchased as stretched canvases, or rolled and shipped in canisters and stretched/framed by the purchaser. The image can also be printed on fine art paper instead of canvas.
The term "giclée" derives from the French verb gicler, which means “to squirt,” as in a squirt of ink on canvas. A giclée image is generated from a high resolution digital scan and printed with archival quality inks onto canvas. The result is an amazing reproduction of the work of art.
Please email me to discuss options to purchase an original painting or to order a giclée print: tlcrev@yahoo.com
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return it in its original condition and your payment (minus shipping and handling costs) will be promptly refunded.Thank you for your interest and for your support of the fine arts.
Tim Martin
About the Artist
Although he had an interest in art and drawing from an early age, Tim Martin began painting as an adult in January 2008 when he took a watercolor class at a community college. Since then, painting and visiting art galleries has become a great love and obsession for him. His current works are in oils or acrylics, and he especially enjoys the effects of light as exhibited in the works of Johannes Vermeer. His first solo exhibition was at the Temple Theatre in Sanford, North Carolina, in 2009. He currently studies with Rhonda Myers at Cary Fine Arts.
Tim's background is in music and theology, and he is also known as the Reverend Tim Martin, presently serving as pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sanford, where he lives with his wife, Kendra. He is active in the local Brush & Palette Club, as well as the Fine Arts League of Cary.
