(17 x 11" - acrylic on canvas) - I named him Rex, which is Latin for "king." I used purple in the background since that is the complimentary color for the yellow in his fur and also it's the traditional color of royalty.

(18" x 24" - acrylic on canvas) - I love landscapes and the effect of light in a painting. This photograph of the painting doesn't fully capture the details, but there is a small waterfall and a moose at the back edge of the water.

(8 x 8" - acrylic on canvas) - A still life emphasizing the warmer colors towards the front and the cooler colors towards the back.

(14" x 11 " - acrylic on canvas) - This is the only recent work that I have completed in one day. I painted it in a workshop in Pinehurst, N.C. with artist Harry Neely. It was one of those thrilling paintings where everything comes together just right the first time.
